Court orders preacher to pay RM2.5m to KJ for defamatory statements on Covid vaccines
The High Court has ordered religious preacher Mohd Rasyiq Mohd Alwi to pay former health minister Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar RM2.5 million for defamatory statements over Covid-19 vaccination at the height of the pandemic.

In the 1Malaysia Development Board-Tanore (1MDB-Tanore) trial, former Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) investigating officer Datuk Mohd Hafaz Nazar testified that a key part of the MACC's standard interview process — a question-and-answer session — was skipped during a 2015 trip to Saudi Arabia to verify former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s claim that the US$681 million he received was a donation from Saudi royalty.
